Ariana. You are a trailblazer! On the FRQ, think about universality as well. There could be an option that would lend itself to that type of thought process;) Options are always nice, right:D! It might be nice if someone from 7th bell would post some of the devices associated with Antigone and Oedipus....You guys found them; I'm just sayin:)
Hey all, one good way to study is to simply type in the name of what you are studying plus quiz. Ex Antigone quiz and even though each individual quiz is short by doing multiple you will come across various questions and cover the basics.
Kevin. Universality relating to the novel. Remember the writing prompt that we did on the Streetcar/Salesman test. Title is something different. Thanks, Nicole. You are correct. Quotes are good; they will help you make your point more effectively:) When choosing quotes, choose a few that speak to the chosen subject, universality or title. Don't feel like you need a ton; that is not realistic when dealing with a FRQ.
Joe. That is a good idea for basic knowledge. Also, use your NOTES and review packets. Don't forget to look at the Antigone/Oedipus review packets. Flashcards for characters/places/symbols...
All. Hamlet... There are less objective types of questions there. You have a short section on identification. The weight of Hamlet is with the short answer.

Mrs. Edwards,
ReplyDeleteDo you mean universality of the title, or the novel in general? And also should we use direct quotes in our essay?
Kevin, we're supposed to put direct quotes on the notecard to use in our essay. And it's universality of the novel.

ReplyDeleteMrs. Edwards,
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean we will get a choice of doing universality or title for the essay? And also what do you mean by symbols?
Kevin. I told you there was a choice on the response. You should know what symbols are...symbolism??
ReplyDeleteOh ok I do I was just confused with what you meant. Thanks
ReplyDeleteKevin. NP:) Just review, Be confident:)
